About Wallowa County


About Wallowa County: People, Places, Images is a collection of short articles and illustrations from over seventy contributors, each of whom have a strong connection to Wallowa County. Topics range from history and anthropology to local geology and architecture, and include family portraits, politics, literature, creating an A-to-Z kaleidoscopic perspective on the Wallowa Valley. Funding for production of the book was provided by the Eastern Oregon Arts Commission, with support from the Collins Foundation, and the Braemar Charitable Trust. Royalties from sales of the book go to the Wallowa County library, to make materials and information about Wallowa County available to its residents.
